Ascension in Drenthe

Want to spend a weekend away in Drenthe during Ascension? The Ascension weekend is excellent for a long camping weekend in the Drenthe nature. Estate De Berenkuil offers an active or a relaxed holiday. Choose your own camping spot. Will you choose a more private spot, or a spot in a field with playground equipment? Estate De Berenkuil has many possibilities. All camping spots have their own water tap, water outlet and 10 amps electricity. You can also book a holiday home with us. Out holiday homes have different themes and various facilities, such as a water cooker, microwave or fridge. You can also choose to camp with us from Ascension to 2nd Pentecost day, using our Ascension and Pentecost package.

 
 
 

Ascension in Drenthe at Camping De Berenkuil

There will be no boring moment with the many facilities Estate De Berenkuil has on offer. After an active day of playing with the playground equipment, on the multifunctional sports field or in the swimming pool, your children will go to bed happy and tired. The parents then have time to relax and enjoy the starry night sky at the camping site.

There is a lot to discover in the area close to our camping site in Drenthe. Within 15 km of our park is Climbing Park Outdoor Grolloo, DX Adventurepark (largest water playground in the Netherlands), Amusement Park Drouwenerzand, the Boomkroonpad, Memorial Center Westerbork, swimming paradise de Bonte Wever, the Drents Museum and, of course, the Dolmens. A bit of a further drive away are the beautiful cities Emmen and Groningen. The area is also great for hiking or cycling trips through the beautiful nature. Experience Ascension in Drenthe!

Experience bear fun with the recreational team

Estate De Berenkuil's animation team is also ready for action during the Ascension weekend with bear fun. Every morning at half past nine, the day starts with mini-bear time and the day ends at 19:00 with Bear Fun. And you'd be wrong if you think this is only for the children. Daddies and mommies also dance along and pretend to be a kiwi or a passion fruit during the "Ananas-hoi" song. During the day, the recreational team holds all kinds of activities for various ages.

In the vicinity of our campsite in Drenthe, there's plenty to do! Within just 15 km of our park, you'll find adventurous activities like Klimpark Outdoor Grolloo and DX Adventurepark - the largest water playground in the Netherlands. Explore Pretpark Drouwenerzand, the mysterious Tree Top Walk, and the impressive Westerbork Memorial Centre. For water lovers, there's the Bonte Wever swimming paradise, while culture enthusiasts can indulge themselves in the Drents Museum. And don't forget the beautiful Hunebedden! For those who want to discover more, the bustling cities of Emmen and Groningen are also within easy reach. And of course, there are plenty of opportunities for delightful walks and bike rides through the breathtaking nature of Drenthe.
